Ghaleb Darabya is the Managing Director of Cambridge Leadership Associates – Middle East and a Fellow of the Edward S. Mason Program in Public Policy and Management at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
Before joining CLA, he was the faculty Co-Chair of the Leadership for the 21st Century Executive program offered jointly between Harvard Kennedy School and Dubai School of Government. He also served as the Director of Executive Education at Dubai School of Government where he designed and delivered leadership development programs throughout the Middle East.
He brings with him a decade of experience in international relations and diplomacy. In 2001, he was assigned as the Counselor for Political and Congressional Affairs for the Palestinian Representative Mission to the U.S.A. in Washington DC. Prior to this assignment, he was the Founding-Director of the Diplomatic Training Department at the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responsible for the design and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment and career development plan for the diplomatic corps assigned globally.
He started his career as an intern at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, lectured part-time at the Jerusalem Open University and worked in media for the Middle East Broadcasting Center mbc in London. Ghaleb received two masters’ degrees: one in Public Administration from Harvard University and a second in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Westminster. He holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Essex University, UK.
Ghaleb now lives in Dubai with his wife Lina and his two daughters Layan and Talya.
