Kathleen Quirk is a CLA consultant focused on creating sustainable change through the application of Adaptive Leadership. Having both consulted to and worked across corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors, Kathleen’s diverse experiences help her push for sustained impact with clients. She has worked with: Towers Watson, Mastercard, Google, AusAID, FDNY, Rochester City School District, and the Clinton Global Initiative. Kathleen was formerly Chief Operating Officer at CLA before transitioning to her current role.
Kathleen has worked at IBM on their Smarter Cities Challenge initiative and at the New York City Department of Education, as Special Assistant to Chancellor Joel I. Klein and later as Associate Director of Knowledge Management. While with the Department of Education, she managed the 2006- 2007 district-wide winning application for the Broad Prize in Urban Education and worked closely with NYCDOE’s governing body, the Panel for Education Policy. Kathleen previously held positions at the University of California Berkeley and at an elementary school in West Oakland, California.
Kathleen was awarded a Forté Fellow Scholarship as she completed her MBA at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business, was a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs in New York City, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of the Holy Cross. She remains an active alumni member of the Coro Leadership Center and she is a founding board member for the Ascend Learning Schools in Brooklyn.
