Simon Leach is a highly experienced leadership professional. Previously Detective Chief Superintendent, Simon headed up North West England’s Regional Crime Unit, a multi-agency response to tackling serious and organized crime, where he held strategic and operational responsibilities throughout several of the major cities.
Simon has gained wide-ranging practice of organisational and quality assurance inspections whilst in the Home Office, London from 2002-2007 based at the Police & Crime Standards Directorate, where he was also ‘Chief of Staff’. He ran several high profile national policing programmes presenting findings on numerous occasions to Ministers of State and the Prime Minister. During this time he led performance improvement inspections into several police forces and in collaboration with other government departments and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC). Additionally, Simon held the position of Senior Investigation Officer (SIO), responsible for conducting the investigation of War Crimes in the Former Yugoslavia during the mid-1990s while seconded to the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY).
Simon is passionate about improving leadership Adaptively and addressing how institutions manage crisis. He works with organizations across the public and private sectors in improving leadership capacity and has developed, overseen and led numerous complex organisational change programs throughout his career, being widely regarded for his integrity and careful approaches to problem solving.
