
Samantha Friborg
Marketing Manager
Samantha recently graduated from the University of Washington with an M.A. in Marine and Environmental Affairs. Her research analyzed the feedbacks between climate change, social inequity, and nature loss in coastal communities. Much of her climate work has centered around exploring what levers exist to improve capacity for resilience and to induce behavior change.
Professionally, Samantha has experience in communications at the Port of Seattle, where she led a strategic website refresh and helped drive production of the Port’s inaugural Environment and Sustainability Annual Report. She has also worked in sustainability consulting with EBI Consulting and Boyer Sudduth Environmental Consultants, contributed to marketing campaigns for Yale Strategic Communications, and volunteered as a journalist for the Borgen Project.
Samantha earned her undergraduate degree from Yale University. She also competed as a cross country and track athlete at the Division 1 college/graduate and semi-professional levels. In her free time, Samantha enjoys skiing, playing the piano, and running.
