Glosten

World-leading marine engineering firm in growth mode, seeking scalable leadership practices to support expansion.

Challenge

Experiencing significant growth, Glosten faced challenges in scaling its operations without losing its collaborative culture. New processes, international office expansions, and talent acquisition needs strained Glosten’s traditional reliance on individual experts, making it necessary to decentralize leadership.

Interventions

CLA implemented a dual approach with multi-episodic Adaptive Leadership training over more than six months for the top leaders and senior managers, focused on building scalable, pragmatic leadership behaviors. Additionally, CLA facilitated Peer Case Consulting Groups to help these managers explore the root causes of their growth challenges, develop action plans, and create effective onboarding and training processes.

Results

Glosten successfully launched new offices and implemented scalable processes, resulting in reduced dependence on individual experts and improved leadership effectiveness across the organization. By letting go of outdated practices while preserving essential cultural elements, Glosten fostered a more adaptive and decentralized leadership model that supported its continued growth.
